About this work
This article was machine-translated from the original Persian and may contain inaccuracies.
The first version of this painting (1959) was later lost, and Master Jalil Ziapour painted it again in 1989.
Fereydoun Moshiri, the renowned contemporary Iranian poet, out of the deep friendship of many, many years that he had with Ziapour, on seeing this work, composed on the spot a poem of the same name, and at Ziapour’s request set it down on paper and presented it to him. By reading Moshiri’s poem, one can fully grasp the meaning and concept of the work.
The full Persian text of the poem, with Moshiri’s dedication to Jalil Ziapour dated Khordad 1368 (May–June 1989), is given on the Persian page.
