by On Tuesday, 25 April 2011, on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Jalil Ziapour (which has been named “Painting Day” in Bandar Anzali), a program was held by the art group “Caspino” in one of the marginalized and underprivileged primary schools of the city of Anzali.
In this celebration overflowing with color and joy, first the members of the Caspino group went to the classrooms and spoke to the children about Master Ziapour. Then, they covered the walls of all the school corridors with paper and distributed painting tools (pastels) among the children. Each of the children (six to nine years old), by drawing the homes where they live next to one another, shared in the experience of group painting and building a “city of painting”.
At the end of each morning and afternoon shift, the children returned to their homes after singing children’s songs for Master Ziapour’s birthday, so that perhaps the memory of “a day of painting in memory of the father of modern Iranian painting” would remain in their minds and shine like a colorful star in the inevitable lights and darks of their lives.
